This July, I found myself in Zaragoza, Spain—sweating from every pore before I even stepped into the hot room. I was there to teach at my dear friend Cristina’s new yoga studio. We met during teacher training, and since then she’s built a beautiful, welcoming space in her city.
Zaragoza itself is a small, walkable city with cozy charm and really nice vibes. Think wine bars on every corner, late-evening tapas, and streets that invite you to stroll—but maybe not when it’s 42°C outside. I love hot weather, but Zaragoza in July? That was next level. Even at 7 p.m., it was still absolutely, unapologetically roasting. The kind of heat where you consider a second shower just for walking to the café.
Despite the furnace-like conditions, I loved teaching there. Cristina has created a strong, compassionate community of dedicated yogis who show up, sweat hard, and smile through it. I also had the chance to teach an Intermediate class, which is always a favorite of mine—it pushes everyone just a little further in the best way.
One of the best surprises of the trip was meeting Romina, another teacher at the studio. We clicked instantly. Same energy, same wavelength, and she’s just awesome. We’ve since crossed paths again in Munich, because yoga magic has a way of connecting people no matter where you are. It’s one of the things I love most about this path—you show up in a new city, roll out your mat, and suddenly you’re surrounded by familiar hearts.
I had such a great time—sweaty, full of tapas, and completely inspired. I can’t wait to go back (maybe just not in peak heatwave season).
